As a sometimes clumsy cook, I had specifically ordered these to have the added durability I have experienced with Corelle.I'd like to add the sugar and creamer but now I am not sure I can believe any of the product descriptions for these add on pieces.

(More customer reviews)I over-shopped, both on-line and in stores, when I was looking for these.Really, I just needed a salt shaker because I had a pepper grinder.But when these showed up, my grinder got pushed to the back of the cupboard and only comes out when cooking or for pasta dishes.The shape is unique.The size is just right.The design demands you look closer, with the inner-cylinder holding the product while the outer-space creates the illusion of it floating.The best part?The pepper shaker has three holes instead of the standard one hole.Who can get enough pepper out of one hole?I can't say one bad thing about this product.

Functionality: works well and is relatively easy to refill (takes a little prying to get the plastic "plugs" out, though). Holds a typical amount of salt/pepper/whatever for a decorative shaker set.

Aesthetics: This is a must-have for impressing your guests with your stylish geekiness. It looks even more awesome in real life than in the picture (less shiny, though). If only there were an entire matching set...

(More customer reviews)After painstakenly searching for the right S & P shaker to go accordingly with the kitchen table and the sugar bowl ( Mikasa Bamboo ) it turned out to be the right choice. They're very well made and stylish. Although I was skeptical at first when it appeared that the fat top and narrow botttom would make it unbalanced and knock over easily but once I put the pepper and the salt inside it weighted the shakers and now they're not vulnerable to tip over. I like Mikasa products alot!

(More customer reviews)I ordered these in spite of almost being scared off by the prior review about meager output, but then thought, "it is what I am looking for and I can send them back if they don't measure up."When I got them I grabbed my store bought pre-loaded typical paper Morton Salt and Pepper shakers and noted the the hole size looked about the same.I then partially filled these new salt and pepper shakers from salt and pepper from the Morton store shakers and later from standard bulk salt & pepper containers from the store (note:I put salt in the 3 holed one- the product description messed this up - probably something the other reviewer missed) and tested them on a plate. The output of salt and pepper was perfect from both sources.Not too heavy to spoil your food in one shake but a perfect even scattering of both salt and pepper in 2 to 4 shakes.I wouldn't want them to put out more at one time.

These are perfect functioning non-imposing and stylish little salt and pepper shakers.They appear to hold about 1 ounce each and will probably last quit a while between fillings with normal use.Highly recommended if stylish, compact, and functional salt & pepper shakers is what you are looking for.
